Maison Thomas is a charming village house with cozy rooms and comfortable furnishings, in the heart of Saint Chinian. The house has been traced back at least 350 years. Its interior was completely rebuilt, faithful to the style and atmosphere of a traditional French village house. Now, it offers comfortable accommodation for two, four or up to six persons, with a large ground floor living/dining room, fully equipped kitchen and full bathroom; private first floor terrasse beside two bedrooms, and the second floor master bedroom with ensuite. The Languedoc-Roussillon region is a haven for wine lovers, with St Chinian at the heart of the AOC region of the same name. In the village, there are three major wine outlets, where you should take advantage of the expert advice to sample the many wines of the region. A couple of minutes' walk through narrow winding village streets brings you to everything you need to make your stay a pleasant one. A few minutes more, and you are in the rolling countryside, surrounded by vineyards and magnificent scenery. At the same time, you are only a brief drive from the many other attractions of the south of France 30 minutes to Mediterranean beaches, or to the gorgeous Cathar village of Minerve, an hour to the magnificent medieval city of Carcassonne, and 90 minutes from Spain. |
